I saw the old thread was not 'Active' but please take a look before you proceed. I have had a terrible experience with this company, they are not medically trained and al their sales and mentor staff are ex-customers, like a pyramid or Ponzi scheme. The therapeutic content is just a bit of science about adrenalin and that’s it... that all they’ve got. I got some of my money back through my credit card and now they are taking me to court because they want it back, and have double the amount because of my reviews, to silence me.

IF YOU HAVE HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE PLEASE GET IN TOUCH, I am alone trying to prove they are bad news. If you've been through their emotional blackmail sales experience or their programme pls let me know THANK YOU x

Me too.

Hi Ghost is it helping your daughter at all? There have been a few posters on these threads a few of whom appear to be genuine, and who claim to be having a good outcome but are mostly not very forthcoming with how it works.

There have been other posters that seem to be Sam or Martin posing as their own customers, who have got very defensive and then aggressive when challenged.

My biggest concerns are still the sharing of children's details and medical information in their website, reactive, aggressive responses to trustpilot reviews, and people who have questioned them on Mumsnet, high pressure sales technique and boasting on social media about how much money they're making.

Daaxy · 22/09/2021 16:02

Ghost - have you seen the other thread - YCFF2? The sales script is on the thread - possibly used when your wife signed up. Might be worth a look. Try watching the High Ticket webinar - this is the programme Sam and Martin used to start their online business and create a 'marketing machine' (their words).

Ghost - just wondering how Peaky Parents respond when you can’t make sessions? Is there any suggestion of stopping the programme if parental engagement is below a certain level? Do you have any type of contract when you start that allows for the programme to be suspended or terminated in certain circumstances?
Thought you might be interested to see the latest file on four programme - this outfit is mentioned: www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m000zt9y
Yes, ChildFreedomFormula is highlighted in this BBC programme. Their manipulative sales language is frightening. THey now say that they've taken down the social media linking to the webinar but it's still there. Unfortunately they're not actually breaking any laws as coaching remains completely unregulated. It's possible for completely untrained 'coaches' to charge a fortune for dangerous advice.

I am a mum whose child is working with Sam Robins on the your child freedom formula. I invite anyone to message me privately to discuss this brilliant, life changing programme. My daughter had not left yhe house alone in 5 years until 8 weeks ago I contacted Sam and her team for help. Now she happily runs errands for me, is ordering her own food and drink in cafes and restaurants and is engaging with people in ways we never dreamed she could. Please please please for love of God, stop this nonsense now. I understand you may have had a bad experience but to endanger other children's lives by destroying this company with your negative smear campaign is irresponsible and heart breaking. This formula has literally changed our lives and I truly think saved my daughters life. I understand that Sam can be abrasive and combative and sometimes a little rambly but it's really because she cares so deeply about what happens to these families. Grace, my daughters mentor, works hours you would call in the human rights lawyers for because she is so dedicated to helping these children. Jumping on yhe bandwagon doesn't help, this has become a witch hunt of 17th century proportions, with most of the people commenting having never even contacted the company in person. Now with the BBC ignoring all pleas from us parents to produce an unbiased programme and putting out a one-sided unresearched show, this programme is at serious risk of financial collapse. Who will help us then, CAMHS - not in my experience, private therapy (which BTW I spent far more on than this programme and for far longer) - again not in my experience. I don't know yhe experience if yhe original parents who started this and I would not suggest reasons why yhe programme didn't fit for you. All I ask is that those who have not at least tried to engage refrain from making comments and perpetuating this thread. And if you're as desperate as we were, give them a call. There are finance options available and I would have paid 10x more to get the results I have. I would also like to point out that I have no financial or employment ties to this company. I am merely a very satisfied parent who doesn't want yo see other live ruined because they have no access to legitimate help.

GoodButNaughty · 05/10/2021 15:55

@Jodiebd3b - I’m very concerned to read about the excessive hours your mentor is working.

That does not sound like good or appropriate management from the organisation and could be very impactful on this persons own wellbeing...

TeenMinusTests · 05/10/2021 15:58

Jodie It is marvellous this appears to be working for you.

Sadly though this isn't a 'smear campaign'.

It is parents of anxious children asking legitimate questions about the company / companies.

 • why the high up front costs
 • what qualifications do they have
 • why the high pressure sales
 • what safeguarding practices
 • etc

One of the biggest issues I personally have is the lack of visibility of method. Parents like yourself have been on threads regarding this organisation (what are they calling themselves today?) and tend to post very emotive messages just like you. However when asked about any specific advice or guidance they have been given they then tend very quickly to say 'oh it's all too complicated'.

So my question to you (as a parent of an anxious child myself) is what kind of advice are they giving to you as a parent or to your child? How are they telling you to react? What steps are they suggesting you try? etc. That is an amazing turnaround in 8 weeks so they must be giving amazing help (beyond explaining what they think anxiety is/isn't).

(Also it is considered very bad practice to use suicides as leverage for things which is where your comments endanger other children's lives and I truly think saved my daughters life are heading towards.)

Merse72 · 05/10/2021 16:28

I have read the comments on here about Your Child Freedom Formula, Peaky Parents and various other names you have given the programme.
We have enrolled in an attempt to help our teenage daughter and so far have experienced nothing but help, support and understanding. I can see genuine progress for myself and my family, including my daughter.
I met a lot of parents on the drop ins who have nothing but good things to say about the programme and the progress they have seen.
I listened to the Radio 4 “expose” and it was a classic piece of one sided, prejudged, bias journalism.
Sam and the team are good people. They are genuinely trying to help and just because the offering doesn’t fit with the “norm” in terms of support for anxiety the traditional British approach is to have a good old swing at them and criticise.

A large number of the comments on here come from people who haven’t even been through the programme.

There are a large number of families who are benefitting hugely from the programme and the support that Sam and the team are providing but that is about to come to an abrupt end because of the campaign that is being driven by mumsnet.
So as a parent who is benefiting hugely from the programme “thank you so much” to the contributors of mumsnet for potentially taking away a lifeline for me and my family.
Trust you’re proud of yourselves.
Always easy to criticise from behind a keyboard without concern for the impact of your comments.

TeenMinusTests · 05/10/2021 17:28

Honestly I don't think a few parents posting on MN have that amount of power.
Potential users of the company can read the views and come to their own decision. Posters who haven't used them are being very upfront about that.
However desperate parents of anxious kids deserve the most openness and strongest ethics and safeguarding possible, wouldn't you agree?
I am still waiting to hear something about how they help. I know they have a novel idea on what anxiety is, and they provide daily group sessions.
But as to what is advised in those sessions I am none the wiser.

My DD is now recovering through more normal routes, but I am not going to even trial something on her without good quality info on what it is and how it works. Maybe @Merse72 you could have a go at answering my questions today at 15:58?

molliemahem · 05/10/2021 20:02

What a shame that this company is being slaughtered by people who have not given them a chance. We joined up in May battered and bruised by a terrible year in which we, and our child reached rock bottom. The journey has not been easy, there has been a lot of tears along the way but we have no regret’s in investigating £5500 in this program. Our life has slowly, surely returned to normal. We have all learned to change our behaviour and not to put all our focus on the anxiety. Unwittingly we had been facilitating it by talking about it and constantly affirming to our child there is a problem. The team at Peaky Parents have been amazing, available daily at numerous sessions for assistance, advice, hand holding and compassion and understanding about what the parents and children are going through. The portal modules, which are available free from now on, (parent portal.com) are so educating and if you take the time and apply the principles you will see a difference. I hope other families can access these resources in order to help their child recover from the horror of anxiety. You have nothing to lose by checking out the portals for free.

indecisive4ever · 05/10/2021 20:09

I’m not sure what your motivation for attacking Sam’s program is, I’m sorry you feel you need to. If you don’t think it’s for you then don’t do it, but I don’t think that gives you the right to tell others it’s not for them. We are on Sam’s program, Sam is passionate about helping children recover from anxiety as are her team. It is like nothing else we have seen, it’s challenging, bold, unconventional, it puts a magnifying glass on your parenting techniques & can be incredibly uncomfortable BUT it has had a massive positive impact already on our family. Unlike many parents that have enrolled in the program we had not taken our son to the Doctor as my experience has shown that all the Dr could do would be to medicate. I knew a tablet was not going to stop my son feeling scared or improve his confidence. I also knew my son would not talk about his feelings with anyone, no matter how many qualifications they had. I have lived with anxiety myself for nearly 40yrs, not severe but enough to impact on my quality of life. I’ve seen psychiatrists, psychologists, hypnotherapists & counsellors, I’ve also used alternative therapies. None of these have rid me of my anxiety, so I knew we needed to try something different, something unorthodox. Sam’s technique treats the whole family, Sam says exactly what she sees, which can be really painful to hear, but I truly believe it really needs to be heard, digested and changed in order to help my son. If you’re not ready or willing to hear that maybe your behaviour is a contributing factor in your child’s anxiety then this isn’t for you. If you’re ready to change your ways in order to benefit your whole family then I’d highly recommend it.

lu9months · 05/10/2021 20:11

its really not a smear campaign. i feel very concerned that unqualified, unregulated people are working with vulnerable teens. i had one phone call with them, and when i hesitated they offered for me to get the course at a reduced price if we became mentors. theyd never met us, knew little about how and were offering us roles as mentors. avoid like the plague .

molliemahem · 05/10/2021 20:13

Sorry should be your parent portal. Com

scowe · 05/10/2021 20:22

As a parent within a family currently using this company i find these posts really offensive and downright ludicrous to be honest! Working with Sam and the team is totally turning not just our child's anxiety around, but also the dynamics within the whole family and my own mental heath and i cannot recommend it highly enough! Should we have to pay to get this help? No we shouldn't! But after nearly 7 years of struggling and getting nowhere within the NHS system and little or no support from the schools i made the decision to put my trust in Sam and the team and have not been disappointed at all. I am a hard working mother, and i choose what i to spend my money on. Some of you mums may prefer to spend your money on designer clothes, bags and shoes.....some of you may not work at all... indeed a suspect this is the case for quite a few of you as you seem to have so much time on your hands to rally round and try to ruin a perfectly good business. I myself, chose to put my money into investing into my child's wellbeing, and in fact got a whole lot more than i ever expected as the support BOTH parents are receiving too on almost a daily basis....every week... since we started has been astounding. This programme i am discovering only really works if the parents are willing to put the hard graft in too, as habits and family dynamics need changing. I suspect that the person who kicked off this thread (who's name i can't even be bothered to look up) perhaps took offence to finding out that they weren't the perfect parent and didn't put in the effort required to make this work so insisted on trying to get their money back like a spoilt brat cause it was 'too hard', which is a real shame as they missed out on the joy that i am feeling from seeing our child's life (and ours too) improve day by day and step by step. So what if some of the mentors who coach us parents and our children have come from being 'customers' in the past? in my mind, who better to help us all get through this than the people who have been there, lived the pain, and come out the other side? I don't care what letters they have after their name, after all, no GP has managed to help me yet, the fact is they know their stuff and they are working wonders. I'm sure plenty of you trot of to slimming world or weight watchers each week, paying your money to hop on those scales and get advise from... not a qualified nutritionist....but someone who's been through the programme and come out the otherside (don't mind giving them the commission of the books and snacks you buy too on top of it...how dare they rip you off like that?) I think it's very naïve of those bitching about this company to somehow think that the round the clock support we get should somehow be provided for free, i guess there could be an option for replacing the current mentors with a group of millionaires who can afford to take over on a full time basis to help us without needing a wage, but i'm guessing the quality of their advise and support will be rather dodgy. I'm happy to respond and converse with any person on here who has actually been through the programme and has an informed opinion on this, but if you are just jumping on the band wagon and have never dealt directly with Sam and team i suggest you jog on.... or just go and get a job cause seriously you have too much time on your hands to be sticking your noses into something you know nothing about.... there's lots of shortages currently.... HGV driver....NHS worker...hospitality industry.....honestly find something else to fill your time! Oh and one last thing, if you think Sam's statement trying to defend her own company, passion and livelihood make her sound unhinged, then i hope you never ever get put in the position of having to defend yourself against vindictive poisonous bullies. It must be a lovely view up there from your pedestal. p.s i also had a knee op in January....private...through my work health insurance no less....rather than wait 2 years to go through the NHS....i know terrible right..... shall we start a thread trying to discredit the Nuffield hospitals and try and get them shut down for charging people to make them better??? Or better still, let's try and ITV's This Morning programme taken off air, i bet they bloody paying that Dedre Sanders to give advice to their viewers..... i mean....paying someone? to give advise and support? when they could nip for a chat with their GP instead? ..bloody ridiculous!!!

@Ghost7896 there are more sessions that the 7pm one, that's the one aimed at dad's but you can attend any session during the day and there are lots of options for times now. I struggle too as like a lot of us i have a very hectic and demanding job for the first few weeks i made time to get onto at least a few sessions a week for the support and advise and i'm so glad i did, now i just pop on when i feel i need it or just want to ask a specific question, but in the early days of learning about anxiety and how it's affected my parenting and what knock on effect it had on my son i really did need to go on and it's paying off.

scowe · 05/10/2021 21:05

@Mibb2 i can honestly say it's helping my son, we are almost 2 mths in, and after 7yrs of struggling it's amazing to start seeing the differences in him so soon, although i know we still have a way to go. I don't know what all this stuff is about medical records etc, they don't have any info on my son's medical history, all they know is the struggles he has had and that's what they are working on. It does make you take a good hard look at yourself, maybe learned behaviours from the parenting we received, maybe traumas that have happened that have affected the family etc so that's why it's hard to give a 'quick guide' to how it works, because it really is induvial to every family and child. But they teach you better ways to parent to cope and reduce the anxiety in the household and the child's mentor helps them understand what they are feeling and why (the physical effects) and how to manage them better until they can eliminate them all together. Oh and i didn't get any hard sell techniques, i contacted them and had an hour chat about what we had been experiencing and decided to give it a go.

scowe · 05/10/2021 21:09

@Daaxy i don't understand what you mean by 'how do they react if you don't attend the sessions'? They encourage you to join because if you don't how is it going to work? The parents are the biggest key in all this working i would say from my own experience. If you don't want the help and advise and support, and i don't see why you wouldn't if you'd decided to commit, they you're not really committed to the programme so what can they do other than leave you to it. They can't force you to attend, but i've found them so helpful, that's why it's an odd question. There are sessions at different times during the day/evening so i usually manage to squeeze in 2 or 3 a week around work and everything else.

scowe · 05/10/2021 21:11

@lu9months can you elaborate more on 'they asked you to be mentors'? I find that very hard to fathom having dealt with the mentors over the last 2 months.
