ive seen adverts for this on fb. they claim to be able to cure anxiety in young people. im suspicious - and nowhere does it tell you the cost. however im fairly desperate since my 16 year old is very disabled by anxiety. thanks

I've reported the reply with the personal information to Trustpilot "whistleblower" system. Aside from anything else about the company, it's unacceptable that a child / family have been singled out and identified on a public site.

Clymene · 17/05/2021 12:02

@Nats1984

The year 6 grammar, spelling mistakes and use of odd wording on the website suggests it was not written by anyone with any qualifications. You’d have to be nuts to hand over good money to someone who can’t construct a paragraph to provide medical treatment. At best it’s an Ill advised well-meaning deluded person who believes they have the answers, more likely though it’s an out and out con .
The person who set it has no qualifications. Not even a first degree in any subject.

I'm horrified that this is allowed.

SwanShaped · 17/05/2021 12:38

That’s good Mibb. It’s clearly not someone who is interested in safeguarding or confidentiality at all. Which is bad anyway, worse when it’s about young people and even worse when it’s about vulnerable young people.

GullibleTwo · 17/05/2021 12:41

It will be useful to say what you found helpful. I'm sure you didn't sign a disclaimer to not disclose the types of things that helped e.g 1:1 with a recovered teenager or parenting responses etc.

Mibb · 17/05/2021 13:04

There is a video on the home page of "this week's" parent drop in session (not sure if the video is updated every week?). Children's names and individual details are discussed and the host of the meeting uses subtle and less subtle bullying tactics. It's quite an eye opener. 😬

SwanShaped · 17/05/2021 14:16

Haven’t seen that, mibb

Clymene · 17/05/2021 16:51

Bloody hell that video. ShockShockShock Do those kids know that their parents are talking about their MH issues on a publicly available video? At least one of them is 18 so an adult. Where's their right to privacy?

I note a very telling spelling on that page too: "We have several options, packages and price plans to suit families and are continuing to work hard towards helping children whose parents are financially restricted. This is not free. You will have already gone down the free options (Cahms, medication, school pastoral) and your child has got worse. The system currently is destroying children and families."

Hmm
SwanShaped · 17/05/2021 18:10

Cahms....seems familiar.....

MrMeSeeks · 17/05/2021 18:16

I had to post to tell people a positive story.
I can’t thank Sam the owner enough for what she has done for me and my baby girl. I would pay more to make my child well.
I wanted to defend this program.
My child isn’t recoverd yet but is going in the right direction

Gushing about sam, i would pay anything... seems familiar Confused

SwanShaped · 17/05/2021 18:43

I just reported belle’s posts as she kept making the same grammatical error as Sam does on her website. Now all her posts have been zapped too. I won’t say what it was because I don’t want to teach Sam how to evade detection.

Also, there’s now a brand new trustpilot review explaining how it’s not a pyramid scheme.

Hi Sam!

GullibleTwo · 17/05/2021 18:46

'I would pay more to make my baby well' That's the selling point, to make you equate value of money to your child! Who benefits? Obviously not your child. Please don't fall for these positive feedback. It's the owners of the scheme & accomplices targeting Mumsnet forum..DONT BE FOOLED.

Mibb · 17/05/2021 18:57

So after we'd noticed they'd mentioned a child's name in a reply on Trustpilot, now 2 or 3 reviews / replies mention a counsellor with the same name? Seems a bit suspect...

SwanShaped · 17/05/2021 19:01

Yeah I noticed that too about the name.

Mibb · 17/05/2021 19:04

Swan, Just read it all back, and maybe the name in the first reply is actually referring to the counsellor. Which is good, but still seems suspect how they are mentioning that name over and over now. I've become a bit fixated on this today. It's just angered me so much!

TeenMinusTests · 17/05/2021 19:19

I'm just amazed at all the people rushing to review and only being a few weeks in.
I mean, I can understand reviewing a restaurant after one visit, but a programme claiming to cure you child of anxiety? Surely you'd wait 6 months to know any initial progress was really sustained?

I'm guessing a lot of them have been asked/told to leave these comments and they're not really in a position to decline.
SwanShaped · 17/05/2021 21:04

Well at least some of the posters on here have been the same person using different names. So I’d guess that some of the reviews are also the same person pretending to be different people

Tinann · 17/05/2021 22:00

Very thankful to mumsnet for all the insight on this thread. I showed slight interest, have not had the phoncall but have recieved daily emotive videos of why I need to partwith my money. The videos don't give anything away of what I could expect on the course. Surely if you really were passionate about seeings kids free this would take precedence over profit.

GullibleTwo · 17/05/2021 22:09

Like any sales call you have every right to refuse to talk and end the call. Please stop being polite and being intimidated. Scams in general are on the increase during the pandemic anyway be on guard. Why would you trust someone you have never met. How do you know it is who they claim to be at the end of the call or on FB. At least you can always go back to your local Therapist, Psychologist & Psychiatrist for accountability or to complain and get your money back if they are private- You know who they are and have a permanent address.

SwanShaped · 18/05/2021 07:10

Tiann hopefully more people will find this thread and it will make them think twice. On one of the videos, a girl said she’d been feeling suicidal, and Sam says ‘that’s bonkers!’ Which is a really weird response. And showing the videos with people’s names is very problematic. Even with consent.

Twoandtwois6 · 20/05/2021 12:14

My poor reviews of this organisation on TrustPilot keep getting removed :( I want to warn other families against loosing their money to a pyramid scheme. I am going through small claims court and have reported them to action fraud.

Twoandtwois6 · 20/05/2021 12:19

Hi, they tried to enroll my daughter and I as its a pyramid scam, all the trust pilor reviewrs are on their org chart... they accidentally sent me a copy. They made me feel that if I didnt pay i didnt care and that others dont care about their kids. they bullied me with threat when i said i was leaving and wanted my money back. they told my daughter to come off antidepressants with not medical qualifications and they shared my email address breaking data protection. i feel so foolish and vulnrable, its taking it toll.

TeenMinusTests · 20/05/2021 13:19

Twoandtwo Flowers You weren't foolish, you have been taken advantage of.

Maybe try your negative review without claiming pyramid scheme which probably has a very clear definition in law that this scheme doesn't meet.

So e.g. if you said 'Not happy they told my DD to come off anti-depressants even though they don't have medical qualifications' or 'when I said I wasn't happy and wanted my money back they shared my email to ....' it might be more likely to stay up?

Mibb · 20/05/2021 13:29

Twoandtwo - I hear you about the Trustpilot. I think what Teen says is good advice. If you're able to write a review that explains what happened without saying pyramid scheme or scam, they will have less grounds to have the review removed. I've actually reported them to Trustpilot as well so (hopefully) they may be on the radar (although I've no idea about how good TP are with this stuff).

GullibleTwo · 20/05/2021 13:31

So sorry to hear that. Call Citizens Advice Consumer section for advice and see what they say. Or you could seek advice from your local police and report the incident. The problem is that they are getting aware with it since they are online. they know laws and procedures are not as robust to catch them. Its evil. If you paid through a credit card or your bank speak to them and check if you can get your money that way. Tell them you have been scammed. You need all the energy left to fight these scammers. Please dont give up dont be a victim.
