mixing battery hens with non battery hens

will this be a problem and would I need to makesure they all came on the same day?

We had 6 hens and brought in 6 battery hens.We created another area for the battery hens.Both sets could see each other and get used to each other before we put them together.Sadly 1 hen still got really badly pecked.After about a month everything settled down.I was very sad for the pecked hen.She is now healthy and part of the flock.
