....cleaned up a couple of dead baby birds that had fallen out of their nest.
It's great as it means I don't have to do it but OTOH I do feel slightly nauseous!

I'd like to think if we were starving due to breakdown of civilisation we could catch rats or whatever and anything we didn't fancy eating ourselves we could feed to the chickens
(We'd eat the Sussex hen ourselves, of course, but the hybrids haven't got much meat on them.)

It took me ages to work out why there wasn't much dog poo iny garden when I had hens! When I realised I felt really ill! Did chuckle a bit though, we don't eatany eggs so I had been giving them to my mum!
