new to this - hardly any eggs

We had 6 hens about 10 days ago, we were getting 3 or 4 eggs a day.
1 of the chickens dies - something to do with an egg getting stuck i think (see other post)
We have swapped the food to layers mash which seems to be going down better but the last 2 days we have only had 1 egg a day.
They havent had any scraps, they seem absolutely fine, not poorly or anything but just not laying.

How many eggs should i expect ? they are about 6 months old

Are they definitely not around somewhere?

they may need longer to settle in and they may be traumatised at the other one dying and getting her egg stuck.

no id find them! they lay in boxes in the shed.

They might not all be quite mature enough yet to be laying. 5/ 6 months is point of lay but some develp quicker than others, that along with trauma of new surroundings could be why.

I bet in another month you will be getting more eggs.
