Top chick died today :(

Our top chick died today, she had peritonitis and was poorly for a few days. We knew she wouldn't make it, but kept her comfy. Our other 3 hens are a little out of sorts. Will they work out who is now in charge? We want to get a couple more hens in the future, but not yet. Thanks.

Sorry you had a death in the flock. We have a hen graveyard!

I'd get the newbies in now while there is no definite pecking order - then they will all settle in together.
