...one of my hens keeps laying very crinkly eggs! They have grit in thir diet so I don't think its that and the others are fine. Anyone have any ideas please? TIA

I keep chickens and one of mine lays eggs like this sometimes. I've never really thought much about it, but I have had a quick google. One site says it may be a lack of calcium and to finely grind up used egg shells and leave them out for the chickens and the one in the link has more info about disease etc.www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=420711. Hopefully it's just a blip, mine has done it on and off for ages, but seems fine and is healthy. Good luck.

Mine do this when they have been stressed.

It says in one of my chicken books that this is because they have heard an alarming noise or been harassed when the shell is forming. Perhaps they do not like the snow?

The eggs are still edible but they do look strange.
