Does anyone need to re-home a Cockeral?

Sadly lost my little Bantham cockeral a few weeks ago. Not sure what happened as I'd been away for a few days. He was last seen wondering happily around with his girls then when it came to locking up time - gone. Presumably fox but the rest of the flock were fine.

Long shot I know but if you're within reasonable distance to Warwickshire (or can travel here) then I have a lovely home waiting for one.

Do you go on any poultry forums?
IIRC, there is someone in Warwickshire who acts as a chicken rescue sort of place, and he always has cockerals to rehome.
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post other forums on here, but try Practical Poultry and ask on there - he was called Beegal.
I have several lovely cockerals you could have, but Yorkshires probably a bit too far

Thanks for that wearthefoxhat. Couldn't post on Practical Poultry as it wouldn't let me register because I have a Yahoo email! Anyway tracked down the man you mentioned on another forum and have a left a post.

What a shame you are not closer to me, I've a very handsome Welsummer in need of a good home - we hatched some chicks at my DS' (SN) nursery but we got one of each! I'm happy to keep the hen, but DH (and my neighbours) have vetoed the cock. (I'm in Kent in case you know a lorry driver!)

I can vouch for Beegel. Very helpful chap

Ahh luckyblackcat, unfortunately we are just a bit too far apart!

Chickens, I have spoken to him and will be going to see him this weekend to choose our cockeral. That's the bit I don't like, I mean how are you supposed to just choose one?!

owls; try the poultry allotment site
there are always people trying to give away cockerals.

Maybe you could sneak another hen in, without anyone noticing....
