So I was driving past Wernlas yesterday and somehow two 14 week old pullets got into the cat box in my boot. Obviously, when you're going on a girlie weekend away a cat box is essential kit.

They are soooo cute - one's a cream legbar and the other is a partridge cochin. They are really tidgy. The cochin is definitely top hen and is going to be ginormous.

My 'big girls' know that something's up, but they're going to be very firmly segregated for quite some time until the littlies are big enough to stand up for themselves.

Ooh! Names? I would love a cochin, but I fear that my pekin ladies would not stand for a ginormous interloper

Thank you Broody Chook.

Big cochin is Rasputia - a traditionally built lady.
Legbar is Tiggy - our other legbar is Wiggy.

The cochin, all tiny feathers of her, went for our top hen through the bars of the introduction run - rock on! They'll be separated until the newbies are big enough, but Rasputia's attitude certainly is already.
