Went to a sanctuary today looking at rabbits, mentioned we were also after come hens...she hasn't any hens but the most glorious, enormous golden cockerel was walking about.

I desire him

Is this a stupid, or complicated idea? Wehave 100ft garden but wondered if our neighbours would complain about him. We have no chooks as yet but our ark is coming on Monday...

I live in an urban area.

I keep chickens.

But, if my neighbour bought a glorious, enormous golden cockerel, I'd shoot the noisy fecker.

Just my opinion.

I agree with doodlez

They are very annoying in an urban area and your neighbours will hate you

Sorry

I had a cock that crowed at 3am, winter or summer. I wanted to shoot him...

I think you are allowed hens but not a cockerel for obvious early morning reasons. You'd have to check with the local council but I'd be very surprised if cockerels were allowed.

Even if they were, I'd give it a week before the neighbours complained They're horrendously noisy!

Oh bum

I hope he finds a nice farmyard soon!!

thanks for sorting me out, I was getting all tempted then!

While I've got you here does anyone know about decent rabbit hutches? Ds broke ours just in time for the new buns. Everything I see is Made in China type.
