Is there anywhere on the A11/A14 between Norwich & Cambridge where I could buy some chickens?

JeMenFous · 03/07/2009 21:15

Sorry, should have used capitals - is meant to be LF

Katymac · 03/07/2009 21:20

Oh yes, practical poultry is great, and their forum.

Country Smallholding/holder is a good read too - what a sad little life I lead

Easton farm park. They had some a month ago when I was there, £2 each.

i have some hybrids for sale. most are laying now some are still abit young.i live 8 miles west of cambridge

Katymac · 04/07/2009 22:19

Ihatethecold - I'm sorry I bought some from North Walsham - sounds like you would have been perfect for me

I have had a horrid day tbh - getting the chickens was a really nice ending

I have a cream legbar which might be a bit big (possibly to be called Pootle) & a cross between a Marsh Daisy & a Sicilian Buttercup (probably to be called Daicup)

We also have a refusal on another cross (Daisy/Buttercup) called Ishmai.....but we don't know if it's a girl yet

Not at all what I went shopping for

glad to hear you got sorted

Katymac · 05/07/2009 12:05

What sort do you have?

ChasingSquirrels · 05/07/2009 12:07

how much are yours ihatethecold?

ihatethecold · 06/07/2009 09:51

i depends on how old they are. the hens that are now laying are £14. the ones which are younger are £10. they will come into lay in a few weeks. they are not bantams though.

ChasingSquirrels · 06/07/2009 18:25

ah, similar to cambridge poultry then - which is only a couple of miles down the road. Thanks though.
