water container recommendations please!

Hi, Our new chickens keep knocking over their water container. It's one of those mushroom-type things and holds 1.3 ltrs so I suppose it isn't very heavy. Does anyone have any tips for a water container that they won't spill....

You could dig a hole for it to sit in and line it so it's easily removable or get a galvanised one, the heavier the better as long as you can empty it easily.

I got one from Pets at Home, plastic one that hangs in their run.

I got a galvanised one on ebay.

I've got one of those mushroom ones but I suspend it from the roof of the house.

Outside I have all manner of bowls... metal dog bowls,washing up bowls etc. I sometimes put a large stone in them to keep them weighted down.

Get a glug from omlet if it will clip onto your run, they're fab.
