I'm going to buy this
& convert my one of these like this
So how wide should the perches be? And what should they be made of?
Will it hold 4 bantams? (or a Silkie & 3 Bantams)
What haven't I considered?

That should be fine just be aware it probably gets really warm in summer so the birds always need to be able to get out.
An opening with a grid for light and air would help cooling and for light.
4 bantams are fine with that run.
Are there rats/foxes where you live? That might be something to consider they can dig under the run.

I'm sure I've seen that rabbit run somewhere else online cheaper than that. Try Petplanet....
KatyMac · 07/05/2009 17:30
At petplanet they are £68
They would have a cat door to get in & out into the run all the time & they are in the shady bit of the garden for second half the day
StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 07/05/2009 18:00
Here its £44.

Knew I'd seen it somewhere.
KatyMac · 07/05/2009 18:08
Well £60 is better than £65
KatyMac · 07/05/2009 18:30
If I put the box inside the enclosure I could leave the lid up to make it cooler
JeMenFous · 07/05/2009 19:49
You need to have your coop off the ground to deter rats burrowing under it and it would also allow the chickens underneath for shelter.
KatyMac · 07/05/2009 20:09
How much off the ground & could they get through plastic?
They currently don't have the ability to shelter under their house Oh no am I a neglectful owner
