Can anyone recommend an easily moveable chicken coop/run?

DH has finally admitted we need a new chicken house

I need it to be easily moveable as when DH is poorly DD & I must move it ourselves

The chickens like new grass every few days - so if it's too hard they will be neglected & I don't want that to happen

So any ideas?

We currently have 3 bantams & could be tempted into 3 more if we had a new house/run

Hi

We currently have the following forsham ark and have 3 bantams in the small one like the picture on the home page but have 5 in the next size up.
The small houses are easy to move but the bigger houses are heavy but if you are moving them every other day wouldn't be too bad. I can manage and so can my Mum when she moves them on their own. Don't get the wheels for them as this is difficult as the wheels have to be flipped under the house to roll it and you need 2 people to do this. Once onto wheels it does move easy though.

Ours nest upstairs in a forsham run and it's nice to have them off the ground.

we have some of the boughton range to. easily holds 6 bantams with space to spare

I don't think we could move that tbh

I think wheels are the only way to go - which is odd as I hadn't thought of them before

atm they have a 4ft sq run - do I need to make it bigger?

I should think that would be ok but I can't picture 4ft sq in my mind. I think it was the glass of wine.
Some of the houses you can buy an extra bit of run which adds on the end and can be moved seperately. So if you felt that you hadn't got enough room you could get one of these. It also helps that you can put them into sep. run whilst cleaning the main house etc.

4ft is 2 shortish strides or about a foot longer than a large stride.......maybe?

Are you metric if so it's 1.2m by 1.2m

I should think that would be big enough. Bantams don't take up much room anyway luckily.

Thanks for your help

I think I may get my dad to design something & a mate to build it

I need to get it right - but don't know what I want

Would like but can't afford

How much space would my chickens need if I didn't move them?
