How frequently do ex-Batts lay?

We're thinking of getting a few chickens and although I'd like to do the decent thing and take a few ex battery hens, I do also want to have a few eggs a week. Is this at all likely? Or am I better mixing a couple of POL birds with a couple of ex-bats so I get a few eggs and do some good too.

We have some ex free range ie. kept in a barn and they lay every day.
They did come looking a bit feather pecked and sorry for themselves but after a few months they looked really good.
Past tense - fox had half of them last week!

Would be interested to know too. We have just acquired a pair of ex batts who have come to live with us today.

Just to say we have had 2 lovely big brown eggs from our ex batts on their first morning with us!

How many ex-batts do you have, PinkMagic? Trying to work out the egg/chicken ratio!

We have 2, so an egg each! A very good start.
