Chickens and dog poo

I caught my neighbour's two chickens in my garden today and they were digging into the place where we bury dog poo, tucking well into it. Even when the dog came bolting out, they didn't look up.

Is this something for my neighbour to worry about? (ie are there any pathogens that can pass from the dog poo to the eggs?)

as far as i know there isn't a problem...but i try and stop my chickens from eating horse poo and particularly dog poo as the thought of it flavour enhancing my eggs is yuk!!
