Hi, I got my chickens on Tuesday and so far, so good, except that there was a bit of runny poo in the house this morning and also one of the hens has a dirty bottom. She's very flighty and in an Ark so I can't catch her. Should I be worried? She is behaving ok otherwise. Also, I spilt some diluted poultry Shield on the eggs - do I have to throw them away? Thanks....

It took mine ages to stop doing runny poo's. Stress of settling in, I think poultry sheild is fine but am bot 100% sure as we dont use it.

We had a couple of ex batteries this summer and they were the same ppo-wise, took a while to settle as thesockmonsterofdoom says. we don't use poultry shield either.

I meant poo -wise!

What cleaner do you use instead of Poultry Shield, then?

Mine are in a cube, which is plastic, so I jst use hot water.

Ours are in a shed so we use Virkon, its for livestock, kills viruses fungi and bacteria quicker and at lower doses than most other products according to the blurb.
