anyone know where i can get either internal or external nest boxes all made up and ready to screw on?
i have been trying to get them from this lot but it is surprisingly difficult to get the guy to take my money!!

does anyone else make them? i havent seen any on ebay recently... tho i will check again in a sec. cant find any on google searches either.

tia

Have you thought about using an old drawer or cardboard boxes instead?

LadyLaGore · 03/11/2008 18:10

thanks callisto.
ive built a shelf thing as a 'roof' and put some plastic box things underneath with straw etc in. they eare lower at the front, meant to be a stackable storage system w/ flaps iyswim, only ive taken the lids off and the flaps too.
hopefully theyll take to them

Excellent - sounds perfect to me.

I have a shoe box filled with straw in our hen house, they seem quite happy with it.

update; well, not a resounding success, quite a few are sleeping in them, one or two are laying anywhere they like, and lots of the eggs are a bit on the mucky side by the time they are collected.
have given in and ordered 2 internal roll away nest boxes...
