On Monday evening we spotted a strange-looking bird in the garden. Thinking it was an escaped hen, we went to look and after much research have identified it as a red-legged partridge! It seems to have adopted us, has made a sort-of-den under a tree and feeds free-range with the chickens all day. They seem to all tolerate each other. It is really pretty. Does anyone know much about these birds? We have called it Alan
