Anyone know how you tell if chicken nails need clipping? Mine are mostly free-range but at the moment are mostly scratching around in earth and their nails are starting to look a bit long. At least I think maybe they are, am not really sure what length toe-nails they should have....
And how do I do it? Presume I can use clippers we use to do dog claws, do you have to be careful not to take too much off? like with dogs? Although chickens obviously not much like dogs at all....
