This might be complete rubbish but I got an email from them & there's an alleged bargain coop for £75. Thought I'd post it on here as it might be of benefit to someone.

Can't seem to get a direct link just search coop in the box on the home pageto see it.

that looks like a real bargain.

Thanks jcbk

On the basis that you can never have enough hen houses... I bought it on Saturday and it was delivered today. It was £75 with no delivery charges.

I've just put it together (just over an hour without any instructions) and the quality is good. There is no felt anywhere. The nestbox fits perfectly. It has a slide out bottom and a lockable pop-hole door.

It is exactly the same as the Ranger Poultry house that HatchItIncubators.com has on special offer for £149.99 plus £30 carriage.

I've just gone to Cybercheckout to buy another one but they've all gone. But I'd recommend buying one if they get some more.

TDONB I know absolutely nothing about chickens as the ad goes 'I saw this & thought of you'. Glad someone got the benefit of it.

It's big enough for 6 hens. The nestbox is large but they will have to take turns in it (although I found 2 of my smaller hens sat in it together the other day).

What's the flooring like - one picture I've seen seems to have a pull out floor? How do you get access to clean it out?

VanessaParody · 16/11/2008 20:24

The slide-out bottom is exactly like a drawer. You slide the whole thing out, empty it over a wheelbarrow or straight onto the compost heap and then slide it back in. It's very easy.

You can reach in through the pop-hole or nest box if you wanted to brush the perches off.

Hi DoNB

Could you tell me if it has a roosting pole thing- technical term sorry

Thanks a lot

VanessaParody · 18/11/2008 09:30

It has 2 perches that slot in (so you can take them out for an occasional scrub) which run the full width of the house.

Thanks very much VP, and sorry I didn't come back sooner and say ta
