Are domestic cockrels neutered? If not, maybe he has mated with our hens. Can we still eat the eggs? I am new at this

eggs can be eaten fertilized or not.
its only if they get incubated or sat on by a broody hen that they begin to develop.

(no idea what a domestic cockerle is nor if it might be neutered or not. doesnt sound likely tho...)
