flies

ok - so how do i stop the flies in my run? i thought they were buzzing after the food but they are more interested in the chicken poop! dont particularly want to spend the day picking it up as they do it so how can i get rid of the flies? any advice appreciated!

I have a bottle of diluted citronella oil with water and I spray it around liberally, never had any trouble and it smells lovely.

I've heard that citronella is a good deterrent too - some of the Easibed type stuff is laced with it.
