I have sourced Aubiose now, but the chicken breeder seemed to think that woodchip would be better and easier, what are the pro's and cons?

Bark is not good as it goes slimy apparently.

Wood chip is excellent as you can hose it clean. I am having trouble finding woodchip, so may have to go with aubiose, hemcore or easibed.

4 days and counting barbarella!

I know I know, are you dreaming of them yet, I have totally lost the plot if it doesn't cluck I am not interested.
i wanted to cheer myself up earlier following a car incident so I went out and bought poultry grit
have you worked out how to attch run yet?

Bark goes horrid, and has spores. Wood Chip isn't as absorbent as aubiose/hemcore/easibed which literally vanish the poo!

So is absorbant good, I am starting to get confused now. How's dopey and her new pals doing? I am going to get a cheap shower curtain to go over hte run and I have got covers coming but it won't be totally under cover.

Apparently it just needs to lean against the run. The cube is so heavy that it won't move easily. I have taken the precaution of getting a piece of weld mesh sent to me to fill the hole in case I decide to put the cube inside the run instead.

Aubiose it is then, or which one of the three is the best? They are certainly easy to get, our local place stocks all three.

My pen supplier said wood chip was best, but I can't seem to get it and have tried everywhere, also I don't want a truck load on the drive, and hassles getting new stuff!

Dopey is still being quite mean to the other 2 - I think I'm going to try and divide the chicken run in two so that they can all be in the run together, but separated to get them used to eating/drinking together, without the other 2 running away. Thats' my plan for tomorrow!
