Shipped Eggs stuck in the depot.. EEK

I ordered some eggs from ebay (decided to take a gamble) and missed the postman this morning. Our post office has a flat rule of no collecting missed items until 24 hours have passed. Will the eggs be ok at the depot overnight to then rest a day and then go into the incubator? Or is my chances of hatching them declined even more?

Well the eggs should be turned everyday - chances are the postman has done this! But yes, rest them a day and bung them in the incubator. The biggest worry is if they've got too warm, then they may not develop.

What sort of eggs?

Not sure if this delivery is the silkies, or the sussex/maran/bovan one (Am praying silkie since if they don't hatch i'm less worried)

I see what you mean re: silkies. I'd much rather have the good layers!

Good luck with it.

As long as theyre not being knocked around too much they should be ok.

The others arrived lunchtime and it was clear they were moving in their polybox much more then they should I've put them to rest for today, and will put them in the incubator so we'll have to see
