We have a 4 week old chick who we have been feeding chick crumbs.
I have no idea if it is a hen or a cockerel and I don't care, we will keep it whatever
My question is though, if it is a cock, what do we feed it, I am presuming not layers pellets?
Am I being really stupid, do all the chickens eat the same regardless of whether they lay or not??
They are free range (atm) so are able to forage for supplements but we are going to enclose them all as the poo it overwhelming the lawn
