OK so it's not chickens I know but on news yesterday was story of patently slightly bonkers couple who bought some emu eggs at an emu farm on holiday and when they got home put them in an incubator "thinking nothing of it" .
Lo and behold one of the eggs hatched. Baby Emus are SO cute!

I want one! Not a full-size one however...
