They are getting a bit gawky now, still a little bit fluffy.

They eat so much, am about to move them on to growers pellets, as the chick crumbs are costing a fortune.

How old are they now? I think mine will be on chick crumbs till they're a year old as I bought a 20kg sack and I only have 3 chicks.

Mine are four weeks ols this week. David Bland our local chicken celebrity says they should stay on crumbs until 8 weeks but this lot are a fast growing breed so think I'll move them on sooner. I need to balance it though as I don't want them growing too fast and getting leg probs.

SKSS - you'll be suprised how much they eat.

The two that live in the garden with Lulu are much smaller. They get chickcrumbs and then all the bits she scratches up for them in the garden.
