Plenty of time to make their beds and plan their dinner then?!

I'm ridiculously excited about our new broody-hen house which should be here later this week - then perhaps we'll finally get some chicks this year. (Even if I have to nail the hens to the nest).

we got four ex-batts a week and a half ago. It is amazing how much they have changed in that time. When we got them they didn't make a sound, just stood there and didn't know how to do anything except eat. Now they are running around, sunbathing, scratching for worms, they just look really happy (if a chicken can look happy). They are still quite scraggy looking but I am sure that will change over the next few weeks. You will love having them and it is so exciting waiting for the big day.
