We have a small flock of mixed hybrids that we got after the first lockdown lifted. Originally six birds but two have sadly died. The four we have left are cheerful, healthy and good layers. When the first one died last autumn I told my youngest DS (who was heartbroken) that in the Spring she could choose two new hens to add to our flock. Then a second one died. My DS has his heart set on silkie bantams that he has seen online and wants a trio of these. Has anyone successfully introduced bantams to hybrids? Do we need a second coop? I keep seeing things about adjacent runs and am wondering about logistics. Thank you.
