Haven't had any foxes around our way for a long time...left them scratching around in the garden while we were inside, with the back door open. Very stupid I know. Got our lovely, big, slow buff orpington. DH got there in time to chase away but it'd managed to bite her once and that was enough. It's the first time we've dealt with this and very sad.
What do we do with the body?

I am so sorry. I have lost mine to foxes before and I know how devastating it is. My thoughts are with you.
I buried mine after the fox got them and me and my daughter did a mini funeral (Fox killed all 8, but only took one to eat and the rest was just for sport). Then that night the fox came back and dug them all back up and scattered their bodies over the garden. It was horrible. The lesson though, is to bury them under a big stone or something. It will feel a bit easier in a few days. Good luck with it all.
