Fox proof coops

Hi I was looking to get a second hand Eglu cube but they are so expensive! Have you got any recommendations for another brand? Ideally with a run that is fox proof too.

I don't have foxes, but I have rabbits in an outdoor walk-in run 24/7.

I had a lucky find on Facebook Marketplace (16g weldmesh, ½x1 inch wire) but if I hadn't found that I was planning to buy a walk in 16g weldmesh run from a company called 4wire.

I'd really recommend putting it on paving slabs, or at least slabbing round the outside. I got 2nd hand ones free on Facebook too. We have regular fox visitors and have found evidence of some digging round the edge of the slabs - if the run was on grass I reckon they'd dig in.

I have an egglu, but have you considered an electric fence? It’s run from a car battery.

@Howeverdoyouneedme Which eglu do you have and how big is the run? I'm thinking about getting some chickens and was looking at the eglu coops. I'm the only one who eats eggs so it would be 3 or 4 chickens. Just a bit concerned about run size in case they need to be locked down during an avian flu outbreak.
