Red ring in yolk

Hi all

Was given some eggs and when cooked, they had a red ring in the yolk. I ate a bit but decided best to leave the rest.

Any idea??

Looks like it was fertilised and had just slightly started to develop before giving up.

Agree ^^ it was fertilised but didn't develop
