Hens eating an egg this morning!

Have heard this is not good....what can I do about it. They have pellets available at all times..

This has happened with mine too. One of mine laying a fragile shell which has been getting squashed and then being eaten. The other good eggs are not touched so I don’t think it’s a problem. Just identified who’s laying the fragile egg and going to start giving her a specific calcium supplement to see if that helps. Could this be what happened with yours? Was the shell normal or paper thin?
