Will a broody hen accept newly hatched chicks?

I have a VERY broody hen, I have not been able to ‘break’ the broodiness, have tried everything except dunking her in water (I can’t bring myself to do it). I also have two eggs in the incubator that are due to hatch Sun or Mon. If the hen is still broody, can I just pop the very newly hatched chicks underneath her? As in as soon as they break the shell? I am reluctant to move them over in the egg as this has been a bad batch so far, started with 6. Will she accept them, anybody know? She is a buff orpington if that makes any difference. Thanks.
