Teeny tiny eggs!

My girl's eggs are getting smaller and smaller. They will be the size of pearls next!

We don't have chooks atm, but I seem to remember this improves as the daylight hours get longer in the spring.
Or are your hens either very young or very old? Because you get that with immature girlies and old birds.

And now I'm missing having hens in the garden!

We need pics of the chickens, please!

Presumably the very small eggs are from young hens?

Perhaps the girls now identify as quails and are laying to reflect this..

Here's a pic of my girls free ranging in the garden last month.

I am down to one girl now. She is quite old and had stopped laying last year so was surprised to see her start laying again. We have had normal size eggs the last few weeks but they have got smaller recently.
