Moulting in December

Has anyone had a chicken lose their feathers this late? She is feeding , comb colour fine, seems ok though it is usually dark when I leave and dark when I get home. Lighter in morning so she is out and about.Local retired vet said maybe mites but thought they would be gone by now. She never got them when others did and I haven’t seen any.
Her pen was full of feathers last Monday only other thing I can think of is that next door acquired two kittens in the summer. Any ideas?

One of mine has moulted recently. They all seem to pick random, strange times.

Mine have just moulted.

Oh OK that gives me hope then. Thanks. I shut her in earlier tonight as it is freezing here. I will go up to the farm tomorrow and ask for some straw. I have some in and topped up with shredded paper so she has lots to keep her warm.
