We are getting our first chickens next week. I was feeling fairly confident that I knew enough to get me started, but am now having a bit of a panic...
We have an Eglu Cube with 4m run. Our garden isn’t massive so it will need to stay in one place. I was going to use lawn edging along the inside perimeter of the run to make a bit of a barrier, and put Aubiose directly on the soil. Is this totally wrong? What else should I be using? Do I need to have slabbing too? I had initially decided against slabbing as I thought rats might nest underneath it.
I’ve ordered some extra tarporlin to try and keep the run dry and am aware that I’ll probably need more.
