Cheaper version of eglu chicken fencing

Hi, I need some portable fencing to protect areas of the garden I don’t want my chickens destroying. The Eglu fencing would be ideal but it’s v spendy. Has anyone made or found a similar alternative?
Thanks.

Chicken wire with bamboo canes threaded through to fix! Depends on the distance you want to cover but that worked fine for me to split an area so I could introduce a new chicken gently.

I use the omelet netting. It is easily nibbled away/ripped by foxes which is a pain. I assume it would be damaged easily by rabbits too but we don’t have any. Lots of patched holes on ours!

Thanks Knitella, I’ve made something similar with bamboo and so far they’ve not fathomed their way into it!

I use Heras panels for my chicken run. They’re very ugly but keep the fox out. I’m not sure chicken wire is fox proof.

Thanks Tika77, I only let them out when we’re in the garden so am less worried about foxes and more about them eating all my newly planted shrubs the minute my back is turned! I’ll look into the panels though.

I bought a roll of 4ft chicken wire fencing and used electric fence posts and garden ties to attach wire to the posts.
