Any suggestions as to what I should do? I noticed it this morning. My girl is 6 months old, still laying. I picked her up and although she was reluctant to let me touch it, it didn’t feel hot and the skin isn’t broken. She’s still walking ok, only a slight limp, but it looks awful and just drags behind her.
Online searches suggest I should try and splint it. I’m worried if I do this they’ll all start pecking at her, or she’ll peck it and make it worse.
My local vet is ok but not overly chicken confidant. I’ll take her if I have to though. Any suggestions?

We have successfully splinted a birds fracture before but yesterday ended up at emergency vet having X-rays and then was pts. Bones hurt, she will be in pain. Our vet was unwilling to provide pain killers without X-ray and glad they did as evident it would never have healed (I saw X-ray and is my profession).
Fortunately vet took pity on her/us as really didn't charge us much. For us, ethically, the only options were to pull her neck or see the vet. Sadly amounted to the same in the end.
