Went out to check on my ladies (3 of) this morning about 6 all seemed fine, went back about 11- after presents and Ginge was roosting in the box very unusual for her. Checked her over and noticed blood, poor thing was egg bound and had pushed her tube out 😞 most horrific thing I've ever seen. Poor husband has had the job of dispatching her (she passed away on his lap before he had to) and bury her on Christmas Day. Haven't told the children as it's DSs chicken and he'll be devastated ☹️
Horrible, worse because we've chosen not to tell the DC today
