Girls not laying

Got three new girls back in May. One laid for around 6 weeks, went broody, then moulted and hasn't laid since. Second started to lay as the first stopped, only 3/4 eggs per week but hasn't laid in at least 6 weeks. She looks awful - thin and straggly. The third, despite me being told she was near pol has never laid although her wattle isn't fully grown so am just waiting for her.

They're kept in a run but get out for a few hours free ranging several times a week. Feeding Allen & Page layers. Am thinking they're lacking in something and proably need wormed.

Any advice please?

Mites and/or worms should be ruled out.

Consider taking one that looks really poorly to the vet.

Make sure they get fresh foods (greens) too and poultry grit.

Hope they perk up Smile

Have you checked for redmite?
Are they eating drinking enough?
Are they definitely not laying, or might there be a secret pile of eggs in a hedge somewhere?

Thanks! Definitely not laying. Hadn't thought of redmite so will examine them and their housing tomorrow. The henhouse was empty for a few years after our last girls were foxed and it got a really good spray but well worth checking. Definitely drinking plenty and have two larger drinkers between the three. Think I'll be inspecting their poo and coop tomorrow. Grit and greens a good idea too.

Cheers!
