Keeping the chickens entertained

Does anyone have any tips for keeping cooped up chickens entertained, that doesn't cost too much. Mine are missing being free range at the moment. I have tried the strung up broccoli but i can't keep buying it for them on an almost daily basis. Any suggestions?

It's hard isn't it seeing them so bored and forlorn. Mine have a largish shed with old tractors, machinery and boxes of logs to explore but they're still sad. I chuck in fresh grass that I handpick for them and they go crazy for it. I'll keep an eye on this thread in case anyone else comes along with some good ideas!

Yes I'm having to buy greens instead of just getting them from the allotment or out on walks because I'm worried they will be infected. I've been using spring greens hung up one of these which makes them last a bit longer. If you hang it slightly high they get some exercise jumping up to get it as well.
They are still fed up though

Mine go mad for an iceberg lettuce which they can devour in 30 minutes like a group of hungry piranhas so will give hanging it a bit high a go. Noticed today that their combs are looking pale though they are laying well. Currently in a stable with daylight through 1/2 door and the light on.
