Quail?

Anyone keep quail?
I have decided I need some.
Any advice?

I used to keep them. I bought hatching eggs and an incubator on ebay and hatched loads of them. we had Texas A&M strain giant coturnix quail, which are fatter and taste delicious. I'm not sure if the eggs are bigger because I never bothered with smaller types.
There is a forum called Coturnix Corner where you can get excellent advice on setting up and keeping quail. We found them very docile and easy to keep and they were good layers. I'm not sure they are very hardy though, so you may need to keep them inside in the winter (we just ate ours and hatched new ones in the spring!).
Were you thinking of hatching them yourself or buying birds in?
