Book/website for beginner- chickens/ducks?

I don't yet have chickens/ ducks but am debating it, is there a good website/ book for a total novice? Firstly it's to see if they would fit in to our family life and to check we have everything they would need but also (if all that is good) to decide on chickens or ducks (and then) how many/ which type etc. Many thanks.

I liked this book chickens but also got a lot of information from the Omlet forum. There are lots of posts on there giving advice to people thinking of keeping chickens (and probably ducks too).

I went on a course at a local farm before I got mine, it was only £15 for two hours, and many follow up phone calls after I brought them home!
