Lonely chicken not laying

Hi, a fox killed 2 of our 3 chickens a couple of weeks ago. The remaining one has been laying as usual until a few days ago. It's clear that she is lonely and we have some more rescue chooks coming next week. Is there anything we can do/give her which will ecourage her to lay again.

We go out there quite often to talk to her and she loves it when the cats or dogs stop by.

Maybe put a mirror in the cage? Chickens don't recognise it's them.

Also, are the cats and dogs going there more often, as well as you?
Could that be increasing the stress on the hen?

No, dogs and cats have to walk past the chicken run to get to the house from the top end of the garden. She rushes over when they walk past and "talks" to them.

I'll see if I can find a suitable mirror.
