Urgent advice please - wounded chicken

Hi, yesterday morning I found my gorgeous little silver link had been pecked around her bum overnight by one of my other chickens. It was bleeding but not truly awful and she seemed v bright in hserself so I washed her down in my kitchen sink as best I could (not an easy place to get to!) and sprayed the purple wound spray over her.

I had her free ranging all day (and kept away from the attacking chicken who is now enclosed in an Eglu run) and kept her ina cat basket in the house overnight.

She seems well this morning and the wound is not too bad but there is still a bit of thick dark shiny blood around it (around her actual hole).

Should I rewash it this morning? Perhaps pour salt water over it? Or should I just leave it well alone now?

Thanks

Hi Kitsmummy - how is she doing today? I've found the omlet forum really useful for getting advice and much busier than this board.

Id just spray a bit more purple spray on it but apart from that leave it.

There is this gunk stuff - the name of which I forget - you put over wounds to protect and stop the other hens getting excited by the wound / blood and picking the hen pecked on to death Sad
