leghorn stopped laying - reasons?

we got a white leghorn at the end of July, and she has been a very consistent layer ever since - 6 eggs a week. She hasn't laid an egg now for 3 days. Should I be worried, or is it just to do with shortening days/less light? We feed them layers pellets, and various kitchen scraps, plus cleaned egg shells and leftover cooked egg. They are allowed to wander outside, and to forage on the lawn/in the garden when there is someone at home. We've a bluebell who is laying well still, a maran who has laid one egg (about 4 days ago), and a young Rhode Island Red who has yet to lay.

Two out the three of mine have stopped now. It'll be the chillier nights and the daylight diminishing as you said. They also stop if they are having a semi or full moult. Lurve my chooks!

Got our first egg for months today Confused. My chooks are weird!

Ours have stopped. Suddenly and without warning. Which is annoying as I gave away my last 6 eggs!

We lost 2 of our cream legbars at the beginning of July and the one left, 'Lucky' has laid 3 eggs since then. There is talk of her being renamed 'Unlucky'!

Mine haven't realised that the days are getting shorter as they are still laying every day!

{Just to let you know that under DEFRA rules you aren't allowed to feed anything from your kitchen to your chickens (unless you can prove you are a vegan household)}

I don't live in the UK, but why is that (the DEFRA rules); we don't give them any meat products, mostly uncooked fruit and veg scraps. I didn't know that.

or is that only if you are planning to sell the eggs?
