I've only just found this little part of mumsnet. What a godsend.
We welcomed three nova brown hybrid pullets into our garden three weeks ago. Hilda, Dotty and Mo. They were destined for a life of battery farming but we were lucky to be able to save them from that fate.
Anyhow, last week, Dotty came into lay. We had four eggs from Tuesday through to Saturday. But since Saturday, there hasn't been an egg. I've scoured the garden for signs of another incase she's gotten confused and not laid in the nest box, but I'm about most of the day and I'm certain there's not been one laid. Tonight, at dusk, she started to settle in the middle of the lawn. Obviously, not normal cluck behaviour. I don't think she's egg bound. Having said that, these are my first girls.
Advice please! Normal poo, and she seems to be eating and drinking.
