Dear 1 year old chicken with broken leg

She's a sweetie. Today I took her to the vet who diagnosed a broken leg. She can't be put in a plastercast and the only option is painkillers which means we can't eat her eggs. If she can't do chicken things it is unkind to keep her alive. Sad days

Can she have a popsicle stick splint or something? How did she break her leg?

My friend used a lollipop stick strapped to the leg and it worked

I would put her down. Sad but usually for the best. Our ferrets get the dead uns - unless Mr. Fox gets there first... (circle of life an all that).
